“Children, from a very young age need to learn that it’s ‘OK’ to talk about these themes with their carers. Vivien Resofsky’s age specific series of books ‘Wesley’s World’ provide a welcome addition to the literature available.
These stories can act as a catalyst for families beginning these important discussions.”
“The Wesley’s World series is an exceptional resource. It is written and presented in a way that is appropriate for children, guardians and educators – it covers the full spectrum. I particularly like the simple guide for parents at the end of the books… It is a great honour for me to endorse the Wesley’s World Series and I commend its author Vivien Resofsky. I hope the Wesley’s World Series is in the bookshelf of every home with children.”
“Wonderful resource, we are all huge fans of Wesley here at the office.”
“Thank you for this wonderful Talking to Kids Workshop on how to help protect kids from sexual abuse. I found the information extremely insightful and now feel that I am much better prepared to discuss the issues and concerns with my children, and am more aware of how to help keep not only my own children, but all children safer.
I believe the issue of child sexual abuse is one the government should look at more seriously and consider the program as an educational tool for not just people with children or for those that work with children,
but all people as a community.
I would like to see this program and the information it contains made available early on to all new parents, perhaps introduced at council Maternal Health Centres, and then followed up with further education through schools and other community forums e.g. neighbourhood watch meetings & safety house campaigns. Thank you for the awareness you have brought to me and the opportunity to be part of the solution. I highly recommend all parents, people who work with children and the community in general take part in this workshop.”
